Prof. Hafez Received his pre- college education in Al-Madina schools, and attended in KAU for BA in Accounting and Business administration. He worked in the Deanship of Admission & registration , and then awarded a scholarship to Indiana University – Bloomington where he completed his Master & Ph.D in Information science. He assumed number of positions in KAU including Chair of the Dept of Info. Sci. , Dean of Library Affairs , and Director of Scientific Publishing . He is a member of a number of committees including the Permanent Committee for Scientific Promotions, the Research Committee of Scientific Chairs , and the International Scientific Committee for E- Education. He served as a member of Board of Directors of King Fahd Public Library in Jeddah , and as Deputy Editor in chief of Okaz Daily in addition to a number of editorial boards of peer reviewed scientific journals.
